Our case involves a 56-year-old man experiencing acute urinary retention and signs of acute intestinal obstruction. Trauma to the celiac artery may require ligation as a life-saving maneuver. Our patient sustained a gunshot wound resulting in celiac artery ligation during trauma laparotomy. Abdominal closure occurred the following day with drains placed owing to grade II pancreatic injury. Abdominal drainage was consistent with amylase-rich pancreatic fistula. This report describes an intra-abdominal mass caused by progesterone-containing controlled internal drug release (CIDR) devices in the abdominal cavity of a 28-month-old Japanese Black heifer presenting with infertility. Rectal examination revealed a mass containing a cartilage-like object in the pelvic cavity. Computed tomography revealed a mass containing two T-shaped foreign bodies. Hysteroscopy and hysteroscopic myomectomy in general have low complication rates. Two patients underwent hysteroscopic myomectomy for prolapsing submucous myomas after UAE. The onset of prolapsing myoma occurred at varying times between completion of UAE and myomectomy, resulting in bacteremia for both patients. CASE DESCRIPTION: We present a case of a 66-year-old woman with a late onset of peritoneal and coccygeal metastasis from a mucinous rectal carcinoma treated with cytoreductive surgery. An 11-year-old spayed female American pit bull terrier mixed breed dog was presented because of hyporexia and abdominal distension. The dog had large-volume free peritoneal gas on imaging and septic neutrophilic exudate on abdominocentesis. Exploratory laparotomy revealed a ruptured splenic mass draining purulent material.
