Type II Integral membrane protein (Itm2) family consists of three members, Itm2a, Itm2b and Itm2c. ITM2B has been shown to be closely related to human male reproduction. The expression and regulation of Itm2 family members in male reproductive tissues are still unknown. The aim of the present study was to examine the expression pattern and regulation of Itm2 family members in male mouse reproductive tissues during sexual maturation, castration, and busulfan treatment by in situ hybridization.
