OBJECTIVES: Recent publications have assessed the prognostic significance of hydronephrosis in the outcome of upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UUT-UC). Our study sought to determine the prognostic impact of hydronephrosis on UUT-UC survival and its relationship to the clinicopathological features.

Capillary haemangiomas are relatively common tumours, typically occurring in the subcutaneous tissue during childhood. However, visceral occurrence is very rare. BACKGROUND: IgG4-related disease is a recently recognized systemic disease characterized by storiform fibrosis with infiltration of IgG4-positive plasma cells. In rare incidences, IgG4-related renal disease can present as a solitary mass lesion at renal pelvis and can pose a diagnostic challenge since these lesions mimic malignancy. We report a case of giant renal angiomyolipoma (AML) with a large pseudoaneurysm causing fatal hemorrhage. A 60-year-old woman presented with right-sided abdominal pain. Sonographic examination revealed a large hyperechoic renal mass. CT examination of the abdomen revealed a 15-cm AML of the right kidney with a large hemorrhagic area within it. OBJECTIVE: To summarize the diagnosis and treatment of multilocular cystic renal cell carcinoma (MCRCC), a special subtype of renal cell carcinoma.
METHODS: The clinical data of 22 cases of MCRCC diagnosed and treated from January 1998 to December 2002 in the First Hospital of Peking University were analyzed retrospectively.
