This case illustrates the untypical presentation of primary bladder malacoplakia. The patient was in her mid-50s have impaired immunity by the long-term hyperglycemic condition. She presented with symptoms of urinary tract infection and dysuria, and had multiple nodulars in bladder and significantly mass in urethra. Although the diagnosis of bladder malacoplakia was established on bladder biopsy, transperineal ultrasound examination can find its distinct clinical presentation.

Urethral leiomyoma is a rare benign mesenchymal tumour arising from the smooth muscle of the urethra. It most often appears in females of reproductive age. Approximately 100 cases have been reported to date. The most usual presentation is urinary infection, hematuria or a mass. We report a case of a 42 year old woman who presented with sporadic hematuria, dysuria and dyspareunia. Histopathological studies confirmed urethral leiomyoma.

An intact male pied tamarin (Saguinus bicolor) presented with a hunched posture while moving, dysuria, pollakiuria, and hematuria. After diagnostic imaging assessment and prostate biopsy, benign prostatic hyperplasia was diagnosed. Treatments with delmadinone acetate and osaterone caused clinical signs and hematuria to resolve temporarily for a variable period of time. Because of frequent recurrence, elective surgical castration was performed, leading to resolution of the clinical signs.

(99m)Tc MAG3 scintigraphic scan is sensitive at depicting focal parenchymal abnormalities and can be used for the measurement of overall renal function. We experienced a 5-year-old boy presenting with bilateral flank fain, intermittent urinary stream and dysuria. On the post-void delayed image of (99m)Tc MAG3 scintigraphic scan vesicoureteral reflux was detected in left non-functioning kidney, which was missed on voiding cystourethrography.

A rare case of squamous cell carcinoma of bladder occurring in a 36-year-old female with persistent cloacal anomaly who presented with frequency, urgency, dysuria, and recurrent urinary tract infection is reported. Contrast Enhanced Computed Tomography with three dimensional reconstruction showed presence of bladder tumor and persistent cloaca. She underwent pelvic exenteration and wet colostomy. Histopathologic findings revealed locally advanced moderately differentiated squamous cell carcinoma.

Voiding disorders secondary to neurosyphilis have now become rare. The authors report a case of a patient with arthritis of the knee associated with dysuria and chronic urinary retention. Urethrocystography showed a large bladder with post-voiding residual urine. Urodynamic assessment revealed detrusor areflexia. The aetiological diagnosis was neurosyphilis. Serological tests for sexually transmitted diseases must be systematically performed in patients presenting with idiopathic voiding disorders.

A 26-year-old man who had had a successful cadaveric renal transplant six months previously was admitted for evaluation of fever and dysuria. Chest x-ray revealed a new left pleural effusion, bilateral nodular parenchymal densities, and an anterior mediastinal mass. A biopsy of the mediastinal mass to exclude concurrent malignancy and positive AFB stains from pleural fluid and urine confirmed a diagnosis of disseminated tuberculosis.

We herein report a rare case of leiomyoma of the urethra. A young woman with no history of malignancy was referred to our hospital because of a 1-year history of frequent urination, urgency, and dysuria. Postoperative pathologic examination confirmed the diagnosis of urethral leiomyoma. After tumor resection, the patient was followed up for 2 months in the outpatient department and developed no obvious postoperative complications such as urinary incontinence.

A 55-year-old woman with a history of chronic dysuria in the absence of infection was found to have an unusual lesion below the urethral meatus. This was subsequently determined to be a periurethral gland containing a sizeable calculus. Pathologic analysis found the composition to be car bonate apatite (dahllite). Only one prior report of a female periurethral calculus has been noted in the English peer-reviewed literature.

Isolated renal hydatid disease is very uncommon and is usually an unexpected disclosure during radiological imaging. Since it affects the kidney, renal mass, or colic, hematuria, pyuria, and dysuria are the predominant symptoms. We present a case of a 48-year-old diabetic postmenopausal female incidentally diagnosed with an isolated giant renal hydatid cyst while evaluating the cause of recurrent flank pain.

The case of a 71-year-old woman who presented with one year history of pelvic pain and occasional dysuria is reported. Computed tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging revealed a well defined intramural bladder mass. The histological findings of the surgical specimen confirmed a leiomyoma of the urinary bladder. The clinical presentation,imaging findings and management of this relatively rare benign tumor are discussed.

Endometriosis of the urinary tract (bladder and/or ureter) is rare and concerns 1-2% of cases of endometriosis. Surgical management is usually mandatory. Rate of peri operative morbidity is low. There is a risk of functional (dysuria, chronic hypogastric pains, imperiosity) and anatomical recurrences (0-15 and 0-10% respectively). Surgical treatment of bladder and/or ureteral endometriosis requires informed consent of patients and multidisciplinary management.

Urinary tract infection (UTI) caused by Corynebacterium urealyticum is a rarely recognised condition in veterinary medicine. This report describes a case in a 13-month-old dog which presented with a history of dysuria and haematuria. C urealyticum was identified as the cause of UTI. The clinical, radiological and ultrasonographic features and the results of urinalysis and urine bacteriological culture are described, as are the therapeutic challenges presented by this particular infection.

In patients with inoperable cancer of the urinary bladder complicated by uretherohydronephrosis, chronic pyelonephritis, chronic renal failure, profuse bleedings from the tumor and pronounced dysuria, the supravesical derivation of urine is thought to be vitally indicated in spite of the unfavourable prognosis of the basic disease. First, it is necessary to provide the adequate drainage of the upper urinary ducts and kidneys followed by making favourable conditions for their longer and good functioning.

A seven-year-old boy with a retrovesical diverticulum and ipsilateral renal dysplasia is reported. He had had a history of frequent urination and dysuria for four years. According to sonography, the volume of bladder diverticulum obviously changed during urination. The diverticulum presented as a temporary large reservoir of the bladder. In this case, serial ultrasonic changes assisted understanding of the role of the diverticulum during urination.

Two patients with disorders of bladder emptying (dysuria, pollakiuria) were treated by endourethral resection after being investigated by ultrasonography without intravenous pyelography. Intravenous pyelography performed subsequently due to persistence and even deterioration of the bladder emptying disorders revealed the diagnosis and allowed treatment of renal tuberculosis. Intravenous pyelography is therefore an essential part of the assessment of patients with prostatic symptoms.

A mucus-secreting presacral cyst was found in a 49-year-old woman who complained of dysuria. A routine rectal digital examination revealed a retrorectal mass. Diagnostic imaging demonstrated a large presacral cystic tumor. The cyst was removed through a transsacral approach. Histologically, the cyst membrane consisted of squamous and columnar mucus-secreting epithelium, and was diagnosed as a mucus-secreting presacral cyst.

Zinner's syndrome is a rare congenital abnormality of the Wolffian ducts in male patients. It consists of the triad of renal agenesis, ipsilateral seminal vesicle dilatation, and obstruction of the ejaculatory duct. Symptoms often occur after puberty and can include hematospermia, painful ejaculation, dysuria, and local discomfort. We present the case of a 15-year-old patient with this rare condition who was treated surgically after the diagnosis was confirmed.
