BACKGROUND: There are many published case reports of successful conception following transcervical Fallopian tube recanalization (T-FTR) in patients with bilateral proximally occluded Fallopian tubes. However, no serial trials have been published with respect to successful conception following unilateral tubal recanalization in infertile patients with a unilateral proximally occluded tube and a contralateral patent tube. Isolated fallopian tube torsion (IFTT) is a rare form of adnexal torsion. A 2024 review described fewer than 150 cases over several decades. The clinical presentation of IFTT is highly variable and nonspecific, which may result in delayed diagnosis. Most patients present with acute unilateral abdominal pain with nausea and/or vomiting, while other patients may present with more gradual symptoms. Investigating the human fallopian tube (FT) microbiota has significant implications for understanding the pathogenesis of ovarian cancer (OC). Adnexal torsion is the fifth most common gynecological emergency. However, endometrioma torsion is a very rare entity due to the associated pelvic adhesions. Fallopian tube cancer is an extremely rare gynecological condition, accounting for just 1 to 2% of all female tract malignancies. The mean age of diagnosis is similar to that of ovarian cancer, between 60 and 75 years, but it can affect a wide spectrum of ages. Advanced age and family history of ovarian and breast cancer are the main risk factors, since they are associated with increased incidence of this uncommon entity. In this study, we report a rare case of an elderly, 89-year-old patient that presented to our clinic due to vaginal bleeding.
