Sarcoidosis, a granulomatous T-cell-mediated multisystem disease with a yearly incidence of 10.9 to 35.5 cases per 100,000 in the United States, affects a variety of organ systems. Primary penile malignancy is uncommon. Congenital primary penile rhabdomyosarcoma diagnosed in an infant is extremely rare. We present the FDG PET/CT findings in a 1-month-old boy with penile mass. The images showed hypermetabolic lesion at the base of the penis and left inguinal lymph node. Pathological examination demonstrated rhabdomyosarcoma.

We present an interesting image of a 62-year-old woman revealed with Tietze syndrome by F-FDG PET/CT and bone scintigraphy. She presented with right upper chest wall pain with a hard, palpable mass. However, chest radiograph and CT were unrevealing. On PET/CT, intense FDG uptake was noted at the anterior aspect of the right second costal cartilage with dense calcification, which was the correct symptomatic lesion. Bone scan showed increased radioactive uptake at the FDG uptake lesion, but mild uptake was also seen in the asymptomatic lesion.

Sarcoidosis is a multisystem disease characterized by the formation of noncaseating granulomas. Lung and intrathoracic lymph nodes are classic sites of involvement; however, sarcoidosis can affect any site in the body. The clinical course is extremely variable, and the imaging features are diverse and dependent on the affected site, degree of inflammation, and treatment the patient receives. Cryptococcosis is a fungal infection, relatively rare in the absence of impaired immunity. Lung or brain may be involved. Cryptococcal dissemination is rare in absence of impaired immunity, and documentation of alone adrenal involvement without central nervous system involvement is rare. Here, we present a case of an immunocompetent patient presented with bilateral adrenal cryptococcosis with adrenal insufficiency, without central nervous system involvement and F-FDG PET/CT correctly identified the residual disease.

A 70-year-old man with T-cell deficiency experienced continuous right waist pain and a low degree of fever. Abdominal CT found a large right adrenal mass. FDG PET/CT imaging was acquired to identify the nature of this likely malignant mass and search for potential metastases. The images revealed increased FDG activity in the mass. The patient received right adrenalectomy. Postsurgical pathological and microbial examination demonstrated adrenal cryptococcosis.

Transient osteoporosis of the hip (TOH) is characterized by bone pain, osteopenia, and bone marrow edema in the absence of trauma. We present a 59-year-old man with chronic lymphocytic leukemia who underwent F-FDG PET/CT.
