The present work reports the successful preparation, thermal and mechanical characterization of high performance films of Na(+) montmorillonite (MMT)/graphene oxide (GO)/chitosan (CS) composite using simple solution mixing evaporation method. OBJECTIVES: This study compares the additional benefit of diffusion-weighted MRI (DWI) and microembolus detection by transcranial Doppler ultrasonography (TCD) in the assessment of stroke etiology.
METHODS: Fifty-five acute anterior circulation stroke or TIA patients were investigated by both cranial DWI and bilateral TCD of the middle cerebral arteries (1 hour).

Hypereosinophilic sclerosing cholangitis is a rare disease caused by eosinophilic infiltration of the gallbladder and biliary tract seen in the idiopathic hypereosinophilic syndrome. We report a 42-year-old woman who presented with symptoms of cholecystitis and obstructive cholangitis. Imaging with magnetic resonance cholangiography using a half-Fourier spinecho sequence, we were able to visualize rapidly and non-invasively a severely abnormal gallbladder, evidence of liver parenchymal inflammation, and biliary duct dilatation.

Temporary compression of spinal cord was modelled in anesthetized cats. The degree of spinal disfunction was estimated by component analysis of far-field somatosensory EPs which were recorded along vertebral column and scalp. Even a weak and short-term compression of spinal cord's dorsal columns changed biopotentials' latencies, amplitudes and interpeak intervals. Usefulness of correlative analysis of interpeak intervals as an additional way of differential evaluation of spinal pathways conductivity, was shown.
