We report about a 32-year-old patient presenting with a large pelvic mass. Sonographic and radiological findings were inconclusive. Open tumorectomy of the mass weighing 500 g was performed. Intraoperative fresh-frozen sections revealed no clear signs of malignancy. Decisive histology and immunohistochemistry led to the diagnosis of benign ectopic prostatic adenomyomatosis. The histology and possible etiologies of this rare finding are discussed.

Spleen cells from rats bearing syngeneic metastatic 13762NF mammary adenocarcinoma clone MTLn3 tumors were fused with the rat myeloma Y3 Ag1.2.3 to generate a panel of monoclonal antibodies (MAbs). The MAbs could be divided into three groups: those cross-reactive with all 13762NF cells; those reactive with cloned MTLn3 and MTC cells; and those predominantly reactive with the highly metastatic MTLn3 cells. Pseudolymphoma of the stomach is an unusual condition that is frequently confused with true gastric lymphoma. This has resulted in favorable long-term results in several large series of gastric lymphoma. The distribution of amyloid P component in normal human adult cervix was studied using fluorescent immunohistochemical techniques on frozen sections. Amyloid P component is associated with elastic fibres which are particularly concentrated in a sub-epithelial plexus in the ectocervix. This plexus does not extend into the endocervix but terminates at, or just caudal to, the squamocolumnar junction. Amyloid P component was not demonstrated in any of the epithelial basement membranes.
