INTRODUCTION: Chylous ascites is defined by an accumulation of chylous fluid in the peritoneal cavity and it clinically appears as a milky fluid in which laboratory examination reveals triglycerides, cholesterol, and sometimes chylomicrons and lymphocytes.
PRESENTATION OF CASE: We report the first case of primary chylous ascites observed during laparoscopy for unexplained secondary infertility.
DISCUSSION: Chylous ascites has never been linked to fertility but bathes all internal reproductive organs surfaces and is considered a communication mean between ovaries.

We are maintaining two obese mutant rat strains (WNIN/Ob and WNIN/GR-Ob) in our animal facility since 1997. These rat colonies are perpetuated by crossing heterozygous littermates, since the obese phenotypes of both genders turned out be infertile. OBJECTIVE: To compare the changes that occurs in the spermatic parameters when a second ejaculate is obtained in the first 60 minutes in patients with a different seminal quality.
MATERIAL AND METHOD: Infertile patient from andrology service were asked to provide a second sample within 1 hours of the first. All the patients had poor semen characteristics in volumen, density, motility or total motile cells.

BACKGROUND: Klinefelter syndrome is the most common chromosomal aberration in men with azoospermia. The revision of the Norwegian biotechnology law in 2004 allows infertile couples with this diagnosis to become genetic parents. Surgical sperm extraction has to be performed to enable identification of possible sperm production. The preliminary approval to use this procedure (stated in the biotechnology law) was extended in 2007. An ovarian adenomyoma developed in a 38-year-old infertile patient following treatment with exogenous gonadotrophins. Laparoscopic excision was performed. Adhesions cause bowel obstruction, chronic abdominal pain, and infertility. In this review, the incidence, clinical signs, diagnostic procedures, and treatment of these sequels of abdominal surgery are discussed. Laparoscopic treatment of bowel obstruction, chronic pain, and infertility is feasible in selected patients and has been reported to cause fewer newly formed adhesions. Randomized controlled trials to compare open and laparoscopic surgery for adhesions should be executed with long-term follow-up to assess the success rates of adhesiolysis and compare the morbidity and mortality.

Prostatitis and infertility are common disorders in men and many researchers have investigated a possible link between the two disorders. After almost 3 decades of research the answer to this question remains unknown, although ample evidence exists to support a relationship between male infertility and prostatitis. This paper discusses this evidence and then derives a rational treatment approach to the man with infertility and prostatitis.

Genital tract infection is a known cause of male and female infertility. In this retrospective study, we investigated the effect of treatment of asymptomatic cervical leukocytosis on pregnancy rates. Twenty-five infertile women with asymptomatic cervical leukocytosis received broad-spectrum antibiotic treatment (100 mg doxycycline, 200 mg ofloxacin, and 500 mg metronidazole twice a day for 7-10 days).
