Dedicated portable ultrasound devices generally offer a rapid, noninvasive, largely operator-independent means of assessing post-void residual urine (PVR) volume. In most published series, PVR measured by portable ultrasound correlates well with catheterized urine volume. We report 3 cases in which follow-up of falsely elevated PVR measurements on ultrasound resulted in comparatively low catheterized volumes. The clinical and urodynamic findings in 1,193 consecutive women referred for investigation of urinary incontinence and other urinary symptoms were reviewed. PURPOSE: Meningioma resection remains partial in over 25% of cases, with few known predictors of residual disease progression. This study aims to assess if dural attachment, identified on postoperative imaging, influences meningioma progression following subtotal resection.
METHODS: A retrospective cohort design was applied to patients who underwent subtotal meningioma resection at our institution.
