We report an interesting ocular finding of bilateral multiple coin-shaped epithelial lesions along with the confocal microscopy findings in a patient following an acute attack of erythema multiforme (EM) minor. A 30-year-old male presented with a history of watering and irritation in both eyes of three days duration. He was diagnosed to have EM minor and was on oral acyclovir. PURPOSE: To report a case of external ophthalmomyiasis manifesting with keratouveitis.
CASE REPORT: A 77-year-old man, presented with keratouveitis secondary to external ophthalmomyiasis. Slit-lamp examination of the affected eye disclosed subepithelial linear opacities, stromal keratitis, and anterior uveitis. There were also some moving maggots identified as Oestrus ovis larvae. Following removal of the maggots and instillation of tobramycin, the symptoms completely resolved within 2 days and visual acuity improved.

We evaluated the inhibitory effects of matrix metalloproteinase inhibitor (MMPI) on corneal neovascularization in vivo. MMPI drops in the right eye and MMPI basic drops in the left eye were administrated six times per day after wearing a large polymethylmethacrylate-hard contact lens (PMMA-HCL) and intralamellar transplantation of a basic fibroblast growth factor (basic-FGF) containing polymer disk. We studied 3 eyes from 2 patients with posterior keratoconus. One patient (a 17-year-old female) had posterior keratoconus bilaterally and the other (a 8-year-old male) had posterior keratoconus in one eye and Peters' anomaly in the contralateral eye. 266 eyes were examined by the slit lamp 24 hours after uncomplicated intracapsular cataract extraction. An unexpectedly high incidence of 15% macroscopic hypopyons was found with a further 13% showing a trace. This prospective study aimed at determine whether eye irrigation removes ocular foreign bodies (FBs) and whether ocular pain predicts FBs. Emergency department patients complaining of ocular FBs were enrolled. Ocular amylodosis, although a rare entity, is known to affect the conjunctiva, extraocular muscles, orbit, lacrimal gland, and skin around the eyes. Intraocular deposition of amyloid mainly confines to the vitreous and cornea. In this report, we describe two cases of intraocular amyloidosis presenting as multiple iris and anterior chamber cysts. Histopathological examination with special stain like Congo Red and Transmission Electron Microscopy confirmed the diagnosis of amyloidosis. Systemic investigations ruled out systemic association confirming the diagnosis of primary ocular amyloidosis.
