OBJECTIVE: To explore the clinical profile and outcomes in neonates hospitalized with respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infection.
METHODS: Clinical features, respiratory support, pharmacological treatment, complications and outcomes of neonates admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit with RSV infection between January 2018 and March 2023 were recorded. Descriptive statistics were employed for analysis.
RESULTS: Thirty-seven neonates with RSV infection were analyzed. The most common presenting features were cough (n = 29, 74.4%), refusal to feed (n = 29, 74.4%) and apnea (n = 7, 17.9%).

Over a 6.5-year period, 5,848 patients who had ingested a foreign body were admitted to the ENT unit at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Hong Kong. We studied 69 hypopharyngeal cancer patients who were treated between 1979 and 1992. The 5-year cumulative survival rate was 53%. There were five stage I, seven stage II, 20 stage III and 37 stage IV patients; survival rates for stages I, II, III, and IV were 80%, 54%, 61% and 47%, respectively.
