Nonsebaceous lymphadenoma (NSL) is an unusual benign salivary gland tumor characterized by a predominant lymphoid background, dense lymphoid infiltrate, and absence of sebaceous differentiation. Because of its rarity and histologic similarities to other small cell lymphomas, the microscopic diagnosis of MCL may be challenging. The Papillon-Lefevre syndrome (PLS) was first described by Papillon and Lefevre in 1924. It is an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by a diffuse palmoplanter hyperkeratosis and rapidly progressive and devastating periodontitis, affecting the primary as well as the permanent dentition, attributed to a point mutation of the cathepsin C gene. This paper presents a clinical presentation and a brief review of its etiology and treatment modalities.

In an avulsed tooth with an open apex, a recommended procedure is to coat the root surface with topical doxycycline before reimplantation. Doxycycline, a derivative of the tetracycline family, has an antibacterial effect and anti-inflammatory qualities, and is effective in reducing inflammatory and replacement resorption following dental trauma. Clear cell carcinoma of the salivary gland is an uncommon tumor comprising about 1% of neoplasms of minor salivary glands. We report an autopsy case of a tumor with widespread metastases 29 years after initial surgery.
