Few reports have described traumatic heart injury in children. We describe a case of acute mitral regurgitation associated with papillary muscle rupture, traumatic ventricular septal defect, and impending left ventricular free wall rupture due to blunt trauma in a 2-year-old girl. METHODS: Case report. A 57-year-old woman who used soft contact lenses on an extended-wear basis developed a unilateral Pseudomonas corneal ulcer associated with the use of preservative-free aerosol saline.

The results of autologous and allogeneic BMT in 44 patients with Hodgkin's or non-Hodgkin's lymphomas who received preparative therapy consisting of busulfan 16 mg/kg and cyclophosphamide 120 mg/kg are presented. The effect of levamisole combined with postoperative radiotherapy in Stage II breast cancer was investigated in a double-blind randomized study comprising 72 patients. All patients were followed for at least 5 years. Disease-free survival was slightly prolonged in the levamisole group as a whole.
