Heat stress adversely affects poultry production, intestinal health, and antioxidant levels. This study investigated the effects of curcumin … O-1, MLCK, and BCL-2. Additionally, curcumin downregulated the expression of CASP3 and CASP9 in the jejunum. Furthermore, curcumin activated autophagy by enhancing the expression of SIRT1, PGC-1α, and Beclin1. In summary, curcumin supplementation can help maintain gut health in broilers under heat stress and exert protective effects at the cellular level.

Gastroesophageal biliary reflux is a common complication after esophagectomy with gastric pull-up. Symptomatic relief focuses on dietary/lifestyle modifications and acid suppression, and possibly bile-binding medications. Rarely, patients with medically refractory bile reflux may need a surgical intervention. Pancake kidney is a renal fusion anomaly with only a few reported prenatal diagnoses. Other structural anomalies beyond the urogenital system may also be associated. Human noroviruses (HuNoVs) are a diverse group of RNA viruses that cause endemic and pandemic acute viral gastroenteritis. METHODS: This is a systematic review and meta-analysis including randomized clinical trials (RCTs) comparing DJBL versus sham or pharmacotherapies aiming to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of DJBL.

We report our experience of staged operations in the surgical treatment of complex jejuno-ileal atresia. Our study examined transgastric deflation of the proximal segment and feeding jejunostomy through the distal segment as a first stage followed by a definitive restoration of continuity secondarily at a tertiary centre over a period of three years.
