Ameloblastic carcinoma (AC) is a rare malignant odontogenic tumor. Surgical resection of the tumor is the mainstay of its treatment. To date, radiotherapy for this tumor remains controversial. This report describes a case of AC with intracranial extension and provides the first report of the efficacy of single-fraction helical tomotherapy for the treatment of residual AC after surgical resection.

METHOD: We treated and followed up 21 patients with cavernous sinus metastases and invasion using gamma knife radiosurgery. PURPOSE: To present a case of a child with an extensive facial hemangioma in whom the suspicion of intracranial involvement was raised by visual evoked potential (VEP) evaluation.
DESIGN: Observational case report.
METHODS: VEP analysis was performed using flash and pattern stimuli to determine whether treatment intervention other than occlusion therapy was needed.

OBJECTIVES: To describe modifications in the apical dissection of radical retropubic prostatectomy (RRP) in men with palpable disease that reduce the incidence of positive apical surgical margins. BACKGROUND: The depth of infiltration of tumor is of particular relevance in hypopharyngeal cancers, because most of them are seen late, and extensive infiltration into the muscle wall and the cartilage are not uncommon.
