MR imaging of the rat brain has become an increasingly frequently used method in experimental neuroradiology. On a generally available 1.5 T whole body tomograph, supplemented with an individually made small coil and a special SE sequence we obtained fairly fine images of the structures of the rat brain. Two new cell lines were established from a single human uterine cervical adenocarcinoma which had been successfully transplanted into nude mice. They were subcultivated more than 70 times over a period of 46 months and designated as TCO-1 and TCO-2, respectively. Growth characteristics, modes of chromosomes and specific tumor makers were different in TCO-1 and TCO-2. Our experience on 371 patients studied with DSA for reno-adrenal pathology in the last two years is reported. The purpose of this study was the evaluation of real possibilities of DSA in comparison with conventional angiography, particularly to specify diagnostic space of venous versus arterial approach in this region of interest. A nonmetastatic, transplantable Leydig cell tumor of Fischer rats causes hypercalcemia in the host animals. The tumor's effects on long bones were studied with histochemical and morphometric methods. Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) is a curative option for children with high-risk acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). This retrospective single-center study analyzed 236 pediatric ALL patients in complete remission who underwent allogeneic HSCT using ex-vivo T cell depletion between 2012 and 2021. OBJECTIVES: To evaluate the incidence of infectious complications after receiving alemtuzumab as part of a conditioning regimen for allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) in Korean patients.
METHODS: From November 2004 to January 2006, 12 patients who received alemtuzumab-based conditioning regimens for allogeneic HSCT were evaluated retrospectively until death or until the end of the follow-up in July 2007; they were compared with 18 patients who received rabbit anti-thymocyte globulin (ATG)-containing conditioning regimens from January 2002 to January 2006.
