The incidence of certain malignancies is significantly higher after organ transplant. However, there are rare reports of chronic myeloid leukemia in the posttransplant setting. We developed a simple and sensitive method for the simultaneous detection of imatinib mesylate (IM) and its active metabolite, N-desmethyl imatinib (M1), in human serum samples. BACKGROUND: The primary goal of current chemotherapy in hepatoblastoma (HB) is reduction of tumour volume and vitality to enable complete surgical resection and reduce risk of recurrence or metastatic disease. This report aims to more accurately define the frequency of the involvement of SRC Family Kinases (SFKs) in imatinib- and dasatinib-resistant CML patients. Clinical samples were analysed during in vivo treatment.
