This study contrasts amplicon metagenomic sequencing (16S AS) with traditional culture techniques for enhanced clinical decision-making. To investigate the wear and corrosion of titanium alloy spinal implants in vivo, we evaluated removed implants and their surrounding scar tissues from 27 patients between May 2019 and April 2021. We performed scanning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, and histological analysis.
