BACKGROUND: Adjuvant treatment of melanoma patients with PD-1-based immunotherapy has improved recurrence rate, and became a standard treatment. However, a considerable proportion of patients recur within 1-2 years, necessitating the identification of predictive markers. INTRODUCTION: Veterans are at an elevated risk for suicide, with notably high suicide rates over recent years. Additionally, veterans are also at elevated risk for a variety of psychiatric and mental health comorbidities, one of them being gambling disorder (GD).
