Primary bone lymphoma is a very uncommon malignancy, which is responsible for 3% of all bone tumors. We report a case of an 80-year-old patient with chronic back pain associated with a pathological T9 fracture. During admission, spinal cord compression with paraparesis was detected and managed with radiotherapy. After investigation, it was discovered to be caused by a primary bone lymphoma. OBJECTIVES: This study aimed to evaluate key features of bone marrow trephine biopsy (BMT) involvement of lymphoma in Northern China.
METHODS: 950 cases were assessed for the occurrence of bone marrow involvement and architectural features including volume percentage, involvement pattern (diffuse, nodular, focal, para trabecular, or interstitial), and presence/absence of background changes (granuloma, stromal fibrosis or necrosis). A 67-year-old woman presented with left limb weakness, facial paralysis, and unsteady gait for 1 month. Brain MRI detected a mass in the right frontal lobe with prominent peritumoral edema, suggesting a malignant brain tumor. In 18F-FDG PET/CT, the mass was very FDG avid, and 68Ga-FAPI PET/CT showed the mass had heterogeneously mild to moderate increased uptake of the tracer. Histopathological examination after surgical resection of the mass confirmed the diagnosis of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. The current case indicated the existence of fibrosis in the lymphoma lesion to some extent.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women in the western world. The estrogen receptor (ER) is expressed in two thirds of newly diagnosed breast cancers, so hormonal treatment is performed only in the receptor positive patients. The most successful ER imaging radiopharmaceutical in PET techniques is 16α-[18F]-flouro-17β-estradiol (¹⁸F-FES). The diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is one of the most common NHL, however, non-Hodgkin lymphoma constitutes only 4% of all primary cancers in women. The typical staging of disease is done using 18-fluorodeoksyglukose (¹⁸F-FDG) PET/CT.
