The aim of this study is to explore the white matter structure integrity in patients with mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) using diffusion tensor imaging (DTI), and to analyze the relationship between the white matter structure integrity and cognitive impairment of patients with mTBI. Hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy is one of the main causes of neurological disabilities. It has been reported that the infarcted area can be reduced by injection of glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) into the brain parenchyma after a hypoxic/ischemic insult in neonatal rats.
