A new technique of graft harvesting was used in 8 cases for arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction with quadruple semitendinosus tendon autograft. The graft is acquired through a small incision on the posteromedial aspect of the knee at the flexor crease instead of the standard anteromedial approach through a paramedian incision. Pediatric airway stenosis challenges the treating surgeon, from the initial evaluation and decision-making process to the final postoperative care and follow-up setting. As our approach to these cases evolves, we must critically evaluate our outcomes in reference to our stated goals. We describe our process in treating this population and critically examine our outcome data from 1990 to the present. Emphasis is placed on selection of procedure and postoperative management.

Fifteen women who had isolated congenital vaginal agenesis reconstructed by the split skin inlay grafting technique at a mean age of 19 (0.5) years, were followed up 2-33 years after the operation. Regarding the controversial discussion about how and when to operate a patient with an ACL lesion and still open physes,we routinely perform ACL reconstruction in those patients. We evaluated 30 patients with a mean age of 14.2 years at the time of operation (range: 10-18) and a mean follow-up of 30.8 months (range: 13-77). The ACL reconstruction was performed using a four-strand hamstring graft. Fixation was strictly extracortical using an endobutton and a suture washer. The placement of the graft was transepiphyseal. This chapter describes a technique for reconstruction of the knee extensor mechanism disruption after total knee replacement (TKR). Disruption of the knee extensor mechanism is an infrequent but serious complication. The options for treatment include observation, bracing, fixation with sutures or staples, autologous-tissue augmentation with use of the semitendinosus or gracilis tendon, turndown of the quadriceps tendon and reconstruction with an intercalary allograft. Avulsed defect of a fingernail bed is a common injury in acute hand trauma. Insufficient management for this type of nail bed avulsion often leads to an irregular and nonadherent nail. The use of thin split-thickness sterile matrix graft from the great toe for immediate replacement of a nail bed defect can regain a smooth, adherent, and normal-looking nail. The patient is a 2-year-old boy born with gastroschisis and midgut volvulus that left him dependent on total parenteral nutrition (TPN). At 11 months of age, a Bianchi procedure was performed increasing the total length of bowel from 72 cm to 130 cm. Three amputated thumbs were reconstructed with a composite osteocutaneous groin flap and a neurovascular island flap. The average age at the time of surgery was 28 (range 25-35) years. Reconstruction of the acetabular roof in patients with hip dysplasia shows disappointing mid-term results due to insufficient incorporation and collapse of the bone graft. We have developed a new reconstructive method using a pedicled iliac graft. We simulated surgical reconstruction of the acetabular roof in ten cadaver specimens. INTRODUCTION: Split-thickness nail bed graft have been proposed for treatment of post-traumatic nail bed dystrophies. Only three papers reported good results in 60 to 90% of cases. We report our experience.

OBJECTIVE: The aim is to introduce the method closing the soft palate at an early age in order to produce better speech and lessen interruption to the development of maxilla.
METHODS: Clinical data of 37 cases with treated cleft were preliminarily analyzed. Some dental casts were measured.
RESULTS: 1. No complications of anaesthesia and surgery. Except 2 cases whose soft palates were split after surgery were observed as they were coughing. 2. A reduction in the width of the hard palate cleft was noticed.
CONCLUSION: Closing the soft palate at an early age is possible and safe. It shows that
