BACKGROUND: Mucous cysts of the nose are a rare complication of rhinoplasty. They may develop as a result of implantation or herniation of mucosa. The entrapped epithelium may proliferate, forming a subcutaneous cyst.
PATIENTS AND METHODS: Two patients with unilateral cleft lip nose deformity had previously undergone corrective rhinoplasty. Years after the operation, they noticed a growing mass in the nasal dorsum and presented for revision rhinoplasty. Complete surgical removal was performed by an open approach, and plastic reconstruction was performed with a rib cartilaginous graft.

A 78-year-old female undergoing peritoneal dialysis due to chronic renal failure was admitted to our hospital because of a tumor on her right chest wall. The neurogenic thoracic outlet syndrome includes the symptoms caused by the compression of the brachial plexus at some point between the interscalene triangle and the inferior border of the axilla. OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this article is to describe pelvic fractures in two abused male infants, and to determine if the literature describes pelvic fractures in infants as suspicious for child physical abuse.
RESULTS: Two infants are described with unexplained pelvic fractures. While in one case child abuse was obvious, careful attention to the radiological evaluation and case history led to the correct diagnosis of child abuse in the second case. A search for information regarding pelvic fractures in children resulted in information limited to the radiological and surgical literature.
