Changes in indices of mineral metabolism, bone protein expression, and bone turnover were assessed between pre- and post-renal transplant bone biopsies obtained 12 months apart. The first umbilical cord blood (UCB) transplantation was performed 30 years ago. UCB transplantation (UCBT) is now widely used in children with malignant and non-malignant disorders who lack a matched family donor. Chyloretroperitoneum is a rare complication of urological surgery. Here we report a case of chyloretroperitoneum that occurred in a 28-year-old man post living-donor transplantation. Twenty-nine days post transplantation, perirenal fluid collection and hydronephrosis were detected and percutaneous drainage was performed.
