Fewer than 100 cases of Paget's disease located in the perianal skin have been reported since the extramammary location was first described in 1893. Two patients seen and treated in the authors' institutions with disease limited to the epidermis and its adnexae are described to illustrate the usual presentation and pathobiology of the disease. 1266 cases of Periarthropathia humeroscapularis (PHS) were analyzed according to their clinical and sonographic findings. This is a case report of a 36-year-old patient who developed an amebic liver abscess after a stay in the Sudan. He was first misdiagnosed as having pneumonia of the right lower lobe. The clinical picture was analysed in two types of hereditary motor-sensory neuropathy isolated on the ground of electrophysiological criteria. One hundred human breast cyst fluids have been analysed for sodium (Na+), potassium (K+) and dehydroepiandrosterone (DHA) sulphate. In a study of interrater diagnostic reliability, 101 psychiatric inpatients were independently interviewed by physicians using a structured interview. Newly admitted patients were randomly selected and examined by one of three psychiatrists. A second psychiatrist reexamined the same patient about 24 hours later. Interviews from the two examinations were evaluated independently and diagnoses were made on the basis of objective criteria. 30 fracture-dislocations of the hip were operated in the years 1967-1973. Indication, operative approach, X-ray diagnostic and complications are discussed. Postoperatively continuous traction is applied for some weeks, 26 patients were followed up with 11 very good, 10 good, 3 fair and 2 poor results. It is pointed out, that open reduction with interfragmentar compression - osteosynthesis is a real progress in the treatment of irreducable fracture-dislocations of the hip.
