Win 18,446, a bis(dichloroacetyl)diamine, is a drug that was previously shown to suppress spermatogenesis and to be an effective oral abortifacient in rats. The present study shows that the drug is capable of producing characteristic congenital malformations in high incidence, by a single treatment, and with high survival of fetuses to day 21. Gestation day 11 is the most sensitive time.
