BACKGROUND: Family history is one of the most important risk factors for developing colorectal cancer (CRC), and medical organizations recommend CRC screening in this population. However, the use of CRC screening is still low in our country.
OBJECTIVE: To investigate the use of CRC screening, knowledge about CRC and screening tests, and factors related to screening in a family-risk population.
METHODS: A total of 334 family-risk participants answered a questionnaire to assess the use of CRC screening tests, knowledge about CRC, risk perception, and barriers against screening.

The reported study investigated the effect of 7 rate control methods (RCM) on running speech intelligibility, speaking rate (SR), articulation rate (AR) and pause characteristics in 27 individuals with dysarthria. The data reveal that with the exception of slower on demand, each RCM resulted in lower mean SRs and ARs (p < 0.05). Clinically significant improvements in intelligibility were found in half of the participants with different types of dysarthria. The majority of them had normal or decreased ARs and SRs. Despite the effectiveness of oral contraceptives (OCs), their popularity differs across populations. Attitudes are a significant factor that influences OC use. This report systematically reviews 28 studies on attitudes toward OC use among women. The Matrix Method was used to review the literature. OBJECTIVES: This study explored whether college students who were first intoxicated by alcohol at ages younger than 19 are more likely to become alcohol dependent and frequent heavy drinkers, drive after drinking, ride with intoxicated drivers and be injured after drinking.
