Electronic patient portals are associated with improved health outcomes in primary care settings. We assessed the relationship between patient portal enrollment and retention in care and HIV viral suppression in an urban HIV care clinic. Following a sexual assault, women experience a host of negative psychological consequences. While some survivors label their sexual assault experience as such (i.e., are acknowledged survivors), other survivors do not. Salivary gland neoplasms represent less than 3% of all tumors in the general population of which benign adenomas account for 65.5%. Basal cell adenoma which is classified as a subtype of monomorphic adenomas accounts for 1-2% of all salivary gland epithelial tumors, and more than 80% of them arise in the major salivary glands, mostly the parotid gland and has female predominance reporting mostly in the elderly age groups. We here report a case of basal cell adenoma of trabecular type in a male patient of age 45 years in the minor salivary glands of left posterior palatal region.

The objective of the present work was to detect and elucidate effects of a single factor (gas pressure) responsible for the threshold levels of stapedius reflex. Congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) occurs in 1 of every 2000 to 3000 live births and accounts for 8% of all major congenital anomalies. Bilateral hernias account for no more than 1% of all types of CDH; furthermore, they are usually fatal prenatally. Those that survive are identified through a limited number of case reports. OBJECTIVE: To determine if peripheral intravenous cannula dead space is taken into account when setting up intravenous infusions (in particular nitrate infusions) in the emergency department.

This study presents results from sentence-completion and grammaticality-judgment tasks with 7 German-speaking agrammatic aphasics and 7 age-matched control subjects examining tense and subject-verb agreement marking. Pathologic characteristic of supraglottic carcinoma spreading anterosuperiorly in 100 cases was investigated by whole-organ sections of the larynx. During December 1989 to December 1992, conjunctival specimens from 63 patients with severe trachoma and 30 with acute follicular conjunctivitis at the eye clinic of Tong Ren Hospital in Beijing, were tested by using direct immunofluorescent technique and amplified enzyme-linked immunoassay (Micro Trak and IDEIA) for chlamydial antigenicity. Foetal chylothorax was diagnosed in female foetus by ultrasound scanning on account of suspected twin pregnancy at the 34th week. No other signs of hydrops foetalis were found. Of 500 consecutive patients referred to the Ocular Oncology Service at Wills Eye Hospital with the diagnosis of possible retinoblastoma, 288 (58%) were found on clinical evaluation to have retinoblastoma and 212 (42%) had lesions that simulated retinoblastoma.
