OBJECTIVES: Based on data from the China National Health Survey, we aimed to examine the association between body height and cardiometabolic disease (CMD) in a large adult population from Shaanxi province, and further to test whether this association was hinged upon other population characteristics.

We review the findings of systematic reviews and meta-analyses of case-control studies that examine brain functioning and cognitive correlates of adolescent cannabis use using structural and functional neuroimaging tools and standardised neuropsychological tests. BACKGROUND: Globally, India is home to every third child affected by stunting. While numerous studies have examined the correlates of childhood stunting (CS) in India, most of these studies have focused on examining the role of proximal factors, and the role of contextual factors is much less studied. This study presents a comprehensive picture of both proximal and contextual determinants of CS in India, expanding the current evidence base. OBJECTIVE: To determine if a cardiovascular disease (CVD) prevention counseling program for lupus patients decreases the prevalence of CVD risk factors.
METHODS: The assessment phase of a 3-year CVD prevention counseling program included the evaluation of CVD risk factors, diet, exercise habits, and medications.
