Multiple squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of the skin is an exceedingly rare entity. It has been reported in a few patients of psoriasis treated with oral psoralen therapy and UV radiation, immunodeficiency states, local intramuscular metastasis and cutaneous metastasis from vulvar SCC. We report the case of a 55-year-old man who reported with a painless non-healing warty growth on the lower back persisting for the last 2 years which was excised. UNLABELLED: Metastases to the skin occur rarely in the cervical carcinoma, even in terminal stage of the disease. The frequency of metastasis is estimated from 0.01% to 2%. BACKGROUND: It has been well established that stage 1 squamous cell carcinomas of the vulva with a depth of stromal invasion less than 1 mm have a <1% risk of lymph node involvement. The treatment for these stage 1A tumours has therefore been to perform radical wide local excision without removal of groin nodes.

An unusual case of synchronous squamous cell carcinoma and leiomyosarcoma of the oral cavity is reported in a patient without any identified environmental risk or predisposing factors. We analysed in a retrospective study the frequency of cystic lymph node (LN) metastases in neck dissection specimens of 123 patients with primary squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) arising in the palatine tonsils (62 M/14 F), the base of the tongue (38 M/5 F) and the nasopharynx (2 M/2 F). The incidence of double cancer has increased as a result of the significant advances in both diagnostic procedures and anti-cancer therapy, and as the outcome of oesophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) has improved, the number of cases of double cancer of the oesophagus and stomach has also increased. Two patients with metachronous early gastric carcinoma in a reconstructed gastric tube were successfully treated after subtotal oesophagectomy for ESCC. These cases have shown that early diagnosis of second cancer is very important for curative therapy.

A case of paraganglioma arising within a parathyroid gland is reported. The lesion was an incidental finding in a block dissection of neck performed for squamous carcinoma of the pharynx. A well-circumscribed lesion, exhibiting the characteristic pathological features of a paraganglioma, was embedded within the right inferior parathyroid gland.
