Twelve cases of drug-induced pneumonitis were clinically investigated. Treatment of antimicrobial agents in 8 cases of drug-induced pneumonitis ranged from 7-21 days (mean 12 days) and that of other drugs in 4 cases from 18-150 days (mean 70 days). The receptor containing membranes and the labeled ligand are placed in two separate syringes and are rapidly mixed into a collecting syringe using a pneumatic ram. In chronic murine schistosomiasis mansoni, extramedullar myelopoiesis of eosinophils has been described, associated with tissue inflammatory infiltrates and periovular granulomas. It may be experimentally induced by intraperitoneal glass implants in mice with chronic schistosomiasis but not in normal mice or in mice with acute schistosomiasis. A study of 75 patients with early infantile esotropia treated by one of the authors (RMR) between 1965 and 1980 revealed a broad range of clinical findings and treatment modalities. Needle aspiration was performed on 40 patients with a diagnosis of chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis, and the cytologic findings are described. Clinically, 32 patients had a nodular lesion or lesions, and 8 had diffuse enlargement of the thyroid.
