PURPOSE: To evaluate the effect of acute elevation of intraocular pressure (IOP) during laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) on the visual field in myopic eyes.
SETTING: Istanbul University, Cerrahpassa Medical Faculty, Istanbul, Turkey.

BACKGROUND: Osteoporosis is a condition resulting in an increased risk of skeletal fractures due to a reduction in the density of bone tissue. Prevention of osteoporotic-related fractures is dependent on the ability to detect individuals with low bone mass, including those women who are asymptomatic. In domestic chickens, moulting is artificially induced by feed withdrawal to recycle the old laying flock for best profit margins.
