Upper extremity deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is an uncommon complication in plastic surgery, with a high potential for misdiagnosis due to its rarity. This case report describes a 21-year-old male who developed upper extremity DVT after a comprehensive nasal reconstruction surgery. Despite an initially uneventful procedure, the patient presented with significant pain and swelling in his right arm on the first postoperative day. Extensive skin graft necrosis after auricle reconstruction surgery is a thorny problem for plastic surgeons. BACKGROUND: Patient satisfaction with surgical outcome is essential in plastic reconstructive surgery, yet no German-language psychometrically validated instrument exist for assessing satisfaction with surgery in the head and neck area. Previously, the short form of the "Frankfurter Selbstkonzeptskalen/FSKN" showed mixed results in a sample of patients undergoing correction of microtia.

Six patients with breast cancer in the upper inner quadrant underwent endoscopy-assisted partial mastectomy. The tumor was removed with a 2-cm-wide surgical margin through a periareolar semicircular incision using a special retractor and endoscope system for plastic surgery.
