OBJECTIVE: To investigate associations between early smoking initiation, risk-taking behavior and reproductive health.
METHOD: A random sample of 69,486 women aged 18-45 from Denmark, Iceland, Norway and Sweden was surveyed in 2004-2005. We compared behavior and health among women who initiated smoking early (before age 15), later (at 15 or later) and never smokers.

Firewood is commonly used around the world, but little is known about the work involved in its production and associated accidents. The objectives were to identify relationships between accidents and time exposure, workers' age and sex, equipment used and work activities in family forestry's firewood production. OBJECTIVE: To investigate if women with multiple sclerosis (MS) experience changes in MS symptoms related to pregnancy, the postpartum period, menopause or use of oral contraception (OC) or postmenopausal hormone therapy (HT).
METHODS: Women with diagnosed MS were recruited from registers of all MS patients known in two counties of Sweden, respectively. Ninety-four women were recruited in Linköping and 52 in Sundsvall. Chronic neck pain is a common cause of disability. The effect of neck trauma on the development of chronic neck pain has been debated. In this population-based study, 8,356 persons (25-79 years) were randomly selected from a geographically well-defined area in northern Sweden. 6000 answered a self-administered questionnaire.
