BACKGROUND: Angiomyofibroblastoma (AMF) is a rare benign mesenchymal neoplasm that arises in the pelviperial region.
CASE: A patient presented with a painless mass in the right vulva. Under the preoperative diagnosis of Bartholin cyst, she underwent a simple tumor excision. Pathological examination revealed an AMF. Immunohistochemical examination showed that tumor cells were positive for estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor, vimentin, and CD34. She has been with no evidence of local recurrence for ten months after surgery.
CONCLUSION: AMF of the vulva is a distinctive mesenchymal tumor t

INTRODUCTION: Angiomyofibroblastoma is a tumor which is consists of two components: blood vessels and stromal cells, with always prominent vascular component. Angiomyofibroblastoma is benign tumor, but in literature is reported a case of recurrence and one case with sarcomatous transformation, which shoved that these tumors may rarely be associated with malignant component.
CASE REPORT: A 78-year-old multiparous housewife was hospitalized at University Clinical Center because of painless, asymptomatic tumor of vaginal portion (posterior side). Tumor size was 7 millimeters in diameter. Interna

Angioleiomyoma is a benign mesenchymal neoplasm composed of smooth muscle cells and thick-walled vessels. It is usually found in the skin of the lower extremities. Angioleiomyoma is a very rare tumor among the ever-expanding repertoire of growth variants described in benign uterine leiomyoma. More rare is a solitary tumor of the broad ligament. Thus angioleiomyoma of the broad ligament is an extremely rare benign tumor of the female pelvis. In this report a 52-year-old woman with a one-year history of abdominal pain was admitted to our hospital. Gynaecological and ultrasonography exams showed

OBJECTIVE AND IMPORTANCE: Angioleiomyomas (ALMs) are relatively rare, benign, vascular soft tissue tumors that occur most frequently in the extremities of middle-aged individuals. To date, only two cases of intracranial ALMs have been described, both with little emphasis on the clinical, surgical, and radiological aspects. Neither of these reported cases of ALM involved the cavernous sinus. Furthermore, there is no previous intracranial ALM magnetic resonance imaging scan described in the literature. This report presents the first case of cavernous sinus ALM, emphasizing the clinical, radiolog

BACKGROUND: An angiomyofibroblastoma (AMF) is a rare tumor that primarily occurs in the vulva of women. AMF rarely occurs in the inguinal region and scrotum of men.
CASE PRESENTATION: A 59-year-old male was admitted to the hospital for evaluation of left scrotal enlargement for 2 years. A physical examination revealed no elevation in the bilateral renal or suprapubic region. The bladder was located below the pubic bone and was non- tender without pressure. Auscultation revealed no abnormalities in the right or left renal regions. The left scrotum was enlarged with a palpable mass measuring 25

Angioleiomyomas are a benign group of tumours rarely documented in the head and neck region. We present a case of a 47-year-old man attending the ear, nose and throat outpatient clinic, with a history of hoarseness over many years. Investigation revealed a left-sided subglottic lesion. He underwent microlaryngoscopy and biopsy, and the lesion was sent for histological analysis. Postoperatively, the patient began to expectorate fresh red blood that continued for several hours, requiring surgical intervention. Haemostatic control was achieved and a tracheostomy was sited for airway protection. H

Angiomyofibroblastoma is a rare, recently described, distinctive benign mesenchymal tumor that occurs mainly in the vulvar region of premenopausal women. We report a case of angiomyofibroblastoma of the vulva. A 45-year-old woman reported a small, painless nodule on the left vulva which rapidly enlarged during the 6 months before she visited the hospital. Local examination showed a pedunculated, mobile mass on the superior aspect of the left labium majus (13 x 12 x 10 cm) with elastic texture. Left vulvectomy was performed and the excised specimen revealed a well-defined and multilobulated tum

OBJECTIVE: To identify the characteristic magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings in angioleiomyoma and to clarify its relationship with histopathological findings.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: We retrospectively analyzed the MRI findings and pathological subtypes in 25 patients with subcutaneous angioleiomyoma of the extremities. Based on the previous reports, MRI findings that could be characteristic of angioleiomyoma were extracted. According to the World Health Organization classification, all cases were classified into three pathological subtypes: solid, venous, and cavernous. The relationsh
