In 91 patients with advanced breast cancer testololactone, drostanolone, and nandrolone were compared in a controlled clinical trial. Remissions were registered after 4 weeks and after another 12 week period; during this second interval the patients received an additional treatment with cyclophosphamide. There was no difference in the effectivity between the three drugs. Remission rate was in average after 4 weeks 24% and after 16 weeks 46%.

BACKGROUND: Phyllodes breast tumors, particularly malignant ones, are rare in adolescents. Tumor behavior does not correlate with histopathology. This case of an adolescent with a malignant phyllodes tumor, followed by the occurrence of a borderline ovarian tumor, also uncommon in adolescence, may shed light on our understanding of phyllodes and uncommon gynecologic malignancies in the young.
CASE: A-14 year-old Caucasian female underwent wide local excision of a 4-cm malignant phyllodes breast tumor. At 17 years of age she had excision of a serous borderline tumor of the ovary.

The sonographic features of 22 patients with histologically benign intraductal papillomas are presented, with clinical, mammographic, galactographic, and histopathologic correlation. The mitotic regime in 362 human tumours of different genesis was studied by the same technique. The data obtained were compared with the histological structure of the tumours and the degree of thier anaplasia. Significance of the observed changes in the mitotic regime for the differential diagnostics of benign and malignant processes and for a complex estimation of biological characteristics of neoplasms is discussed.
