OBJECTIVE: To analyze treatment outcomes in children with chemical burns caused by various agents depending on depth of lesion over the past 5 years.
MATERIAL AND METHODS: There were 279 patients aged 0-18 years with complaints of burn wounds sustained from contact with various chemical reagents over last 5 years. The article describes the features of local treatment for superficial (grade I-II) burns with modern wound dressings and surgical strategies for wound repair in patients with deep chemical burns.
RESULTS: Effectiveness of treatment strategy is demonstrated by clinical examples.

ANATOMY: Palmar and dorsal skin are very different. Palmar skin is thick and strong, dedicated to the prehension. Dorsal skin is very thin, creating a mobility plan dedicated to the flexion of the fingers.

Forty-nine cases of electric burns with various factors responsible for accidents were studied. The stress was given on the study of disability after electric burns. Plants of the family Umbelliferae are known to cause a phytophotodermatitis due to a phototoxic reaction caused by furocoumarin (psoralens) and simultaneous exposure to sunlight. We report four patients with partial skin thickness burns, induced by this phototoxic reaction. One occurred after contact with parsley (Apium petroselinum) and three others after contact with giant hogweed (Heracleum mantegazzianum) and simultaneous exposure to sunlight.
