Prevalence and Factors Associated With Depression Among Antenatal and Postnatal Women Attending Government Health Clinics in Selangor, Malaysia: Protocol for a Cross-Sectional Study.

BACKGROUND: Maternal mental health concerns either during pregnancy or the postpartum period are a public health challenge. Depression, anxiety, and stress can lead to poorer outcomes in the antenatal and postpartum periods. There is evidence that the effect of stress, anxiety, and depression during pregnancy negatively affects fetal neurodevelopment and children's developmental outcomes. Early diagnosis can improve treatment outcomes and prevent negative impacts on the mother and baby. Identifying risk factors, such as age, socioeconomic status, mental health history, and family dysfunction,

From fragmented records to living evidence: health system-governed, artificial intelligence-driven, continuously updated real-world clinical data from Truveta.

OBJECTIVES: Real-world data (RWD) have historically suffered from fragmentation, delayed availability, variable data quality, and limited analytic utility. Truveta developed an artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled data platform to address these longstanding challenges in using RWD for clinical research. This paper describes Truveta's partnership model, platform design, data scale, and research applications. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Truveta de-identifies, aggregates, and harmonizes electronic health record (EHR) data for 130 million patients-1 in 3 Americans-from US health systems. The platform

Randomised, blinded clinical trial comparing dogs' sedation scores following methadone-medetomidine injection at Governing Vessel 20, the epaxial lumbar muscles or the quadriceps muscles.

BACKGROUND: Intramuscular injection of sedatives into different muscles may affect the quality of sedation. Subcutaneous injection is less painful but has a less predictable effect; however, administration at Governing Vessel 20 (GV20) may improve sedation. METHODS: Seventy-three dogs were premedicated with medetomidine and methadone. The route of administration was determined by random allocation: subcutaneous injection at GV20 (GV-20), intramuscular injection into the quadriceps muscles (IM-Q) or intramuscular injection into the epaxial lumbar muscles (IM-L). Sedation was scored at 3, 7 and

Accountability grids as a structural instrument for role clarity and professional governance in nursing.

Role ambiguity undermines effective professional governance in nursing, particularly in complex, rapidly evolving health care systems where decision-making authority is distributed. This article introduces accountability grids as structural tools that clearly define ownership, decision rights, contributions, and expected outcomes across nursing roles. Unlike traditional job descriptions, these grids make accountability visible and actionable, reducing confusion, improving coordination, and strengthening trust. By aligning roles with organizational goals and clarifying interdependencies, accoun

[How to Understand "Clinical Ethics" and "Research Ethics" in Clinical Settings--Incorporation of IRB, REC, and CEC in Hospital Organizations].

As the traditional definition of "medical ethics" has recently changed markedly with advances in medical knowledge and technology, medical doctors and researchers in Japan are required to understand and apply both research and clinical ethics. Quite frequently, ethical problems in clinical settings cannot be addressed by the simple application of good will, hard work, and perseverance by medical personnel. The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) have jointly published "Ethical Guidelines for Clinical Studie
