Raw milk and dairy products can serve as potential vectors for transmissible bacterial, viral and protozoal diseases, alongside harboring antimicrobial-resistance genes. Perturbation of the deoxyribonucleotide triphosphate (dNTP) pool is recognized for contributing to the mutagenic processes involved in oncogenesis. The RAS gene family encodes well-characterized oncoproteins whose structure and function are among the most frequently altered in several cancers. Expressed sequence tag (EST) pools represent partial profiles of the gene expressions of organisms. Mexicans are a recent admixture of Amerindians, Europeans, and Africans. We performed local ancestry analysis of Mexican samples from two genome-wide association studies obtained from dbGaP, and discovered that at the MHC region Mexicans have excessive African ancestral alleles compared to the rest of the genome, which is the hallmark of recent selection for admixed samples.
