BACKGROUND AND AIMS: Gambling education programs typically focus on promoting gambling as a high-risk activity with harmful effects; however, these programs demonstrate limited effects on the prevention of gambling problems. Cystic echinococcosis (CE) is a widespread zoonotic disease that poses a serious threat to both human health and livestock production. Its control effectiveness largely depends on human adherence. The developing world has been facing a significant health issue due to cholera as an endemic communicable disease. Lusaka was Zambia's worst affected province, with 5414 reported cases of cholera during the outbreak from late October 2017 to May 12, 2018. The aim of this study was to compare the accuracy of two methods used to estimate testicular volume in the collared peccary. Calliper and ultrasonographic measurements of testicular dimensions (length, width and height) of both testes were taken on five adult collared peccaries. Extremes of climate are not uncommon in Australia and heatwaves are not infrequent. Periods of high ambient temperature may result in clusters of heat related deaths, which may place strain on forensic facilities. This paper describes the formulation of the Excess Heat Factor using meteorological data to provide a means of predicting death resulting from periods of extreme heat stress. This study tested the hypothesis that individuals with dyscalculia have an order processing deficit.
