PURPOSE: To evaluate the effects of 0.5% tropicamide on corneal topography and biomechanics in participants with keratoconus (KC), using the Pentacam static Scheimpflug imaging system and Corvis ST dynamic Scheimpflug imaging technology.

BACKGROUND: Bilateral mydriasis is usually associated with severe brain stem damage or drug-induced sympathomimetic stimulation. Herein we report it as a unique neurologic complication of Hodgkin's lymphoma.
CASE PRESENTATION: A 23-year-old woman presented at our emergency department with dilated pupils unresponsive to light stimuli. MRI and CT scans showed bilaterally enlarged lymph nodes in the mediastinum and supraclavicular compressing the carotid artery on both sides. The histologic examination of lymph node biopsy specimens confirmed the diagnosis of Hodgkin's lymphoma.

We have studied 21 eyes of 17 patients which underwent 3 Months before a standard extracapsular cataract extraction and implantation into the sulcus of a posterior chamber lens. Isolated bilateral internal ophthalmoplegia is a rare and problematic condition affecting activities of daily living. Herein, we describe the cases of 2 patients with postinfectious isolated bilateral internal ophthalmoplegia, i.e., mydriasis without external ophthalmoplegia. We report the association of congenital mydriasis with prune belly syndrome and cerebrovascular anomalies in a 9-year-old boy who was found to have an ACTA2 mutation. This case illustrates the spectrum of systemic malformations that are attributable to mutations in ACTA2 and expands the spectrum of cerebrovascular anomalies that are now known to accompany congenital mydriasis.

Here, we report a case of unilateral ocular mydriasis in a pediatric patient with longstanding hyperhidrosis, as well as similar findings in her cat. The patient had been undergoing treatment of her hyperhidrosis with topical glycopyrrolate.
