The eccrine poroma is a rare benign sudoral tumour, which creates a fleshy formation. The diagnosis is made according to the anatomopathological study. The usual site is the sol, but in rare cases, other sites have also been reported. The authors report three cases of eccrine poroma localised in the scalp with literature review.

A variety of tumors develop or exacerbate during pregnancy and it is well known that a noticeable increase of eccrine activity occurs in this period. Eccrine poroma is a benign neoplasm that originates from the eccrine sweat gland. The development of this tumor during pregnancy is extremely infrequent. We report a rare case of rapidly growing eccrine poroma in an unusual location (the nose) in a pregnant woman.

Eccrine poroma is a rare benign adnexal tumor arising from intradermal cells of eccrine sweat ducts. At least two-thirds of eccrine poromas present on the extremities, most commonly on the palms and soles. AIMS: Poroma is a benign adnexal neoplasm with differentiation towards the upper portion of the sweat gland apparatus. In 2019, Sekine et al. demonstrated recurrent YAP1::MAML2 and YAP1::NUTM1 fusion in poroma and porocarcinoma. Follicular, sebaceous and/or apocrine differentiation has been reported in rare cases of poroma and whether these tumours constitute a variant of poroma or represent a distinctive tumour is a matter to debate. Eccrine poroma can mimic benign and malignant melanocytic and non-melanocytic lesions. To date, little is known about the dermoscopic features of this condition. Malignant eccrine poroma is a rare disease with approximately 200 cases reported in the literature. Regional cutaneous and systemic metastases are rarely observed and their management has been generally unsuccessful. We report on a case in which topical 5-fluorouracil application and intra-arterial chemotherapy with docetaxel resulted in a histologically confirmed complete response of multiple regional skin metastases for more than 2 years. Despite intravenous administration of docetaxel, slow progression of systemic disease was observed.

Eccrine poroma is a benign tumor which arises from the intraepidermal portion of the eccrine sweat glands. A 68-year-old woman developed three reddish nodules on a linear epidermal nevus on the right arm. The nodules and linear lesion were resected. The histology revealed the two larger nodules to be eccrine porocarcinoma and the other to be eccrine poroepithelioma. The linear lesion was actually epidermal nevus. To our knowledge, this is the first description of adnexal tumors developing on epidermal nevus.

Poromatosis, or the formation of multiple eccrine poromas, is associated with chronic immunosuppression, lymphoproliferative neoplasms, and stem cell transplantation, though the etiology and clinical significance remain poorly understood. A case report of a malignant eccrine poroma metastasizing to long bones is described. This rare tumor of intraepidermal eccrine sweat duct origin usually metastasized to visceral organs. This is the second reported case of bone metastasis. Although a hip disarticulation was performed for ipsilateral femoral and tibial metastases presenting seven years after resection of the primary tumor, this 43-year-old man died six months later, from pulmonary metastases.
