We report on an eight-year-old girl with acute pericarditis and transient erythroblastopenia associated with human parvovirus B19 (PVB19) infection. The patient presented with complaints of fever, chest pain, fatigue, and shortness of breath. On physical examination, she had tachycardia, hepatomegaly, and muffled heart sounds. Teleradiography exhibited cardiomegaly and echocardiography showed a pericardial effusion of 25 mm. Serum anti-PVB19 IgM and PVB19 DNA were positive. The authors present the neuropathological and anatomopathological description of the twins of the multiple pregnancy complicated by the acardiac foetus and terminated at 26 weeks of gestation. Idiopathic arterial calcification of infancy (IACI) is a rare condition characterized by extensive arterial calcification and stenoses of large and medium-sized arteries. Its complications include severe cardiac failure diagnosed in utero as hydrops fetalis or postnatally as respiratory failure combined with cardiomegaly. We report a case of fetal congenital heart block treated with maternal administration of beta-sympathomimetics. The case was diagnosed as fetal complete heart block associated with maternal anti-Ro/SS-A antibody at 22 weeks of gestation. By fetal sonography, the ventricular rate was revealed to be 60 beats/min and mild cardiomegaly was shown. From 1972 to September, 1979, 20 patients underwent transplantation of the anomalous left coronary artery to the aorta, either directly or via a graft. Correction of ischemia-induced mitral insufficiency was associated in eight patients and a postinfarction left ventricular scar was excised in 12.
