We present a case of acute-onset diabetes insipidus in a 69-year-old man who had been treated for lung cancer. T1-weighted MR images showed a thickened pituitary stalk and absence of the normal high intensity of the posterior pituitary lobe. Dynamic imaging demonstrated poor enhancement in the posterior lobe, whereas the anterior lobe was strongly enhanced. Autopsy revealed that metastatic tumor from lung cancer had infiltrated the posterior lobe as well as the pituitary stalk.

STUDY OBJECTIVE: We seek to determine the amount and type of work-related violence experienced by Michigan attending emergency physicians.
METHODS: A mail survey of self-reported work-related violence exposure during the preceding 12 months was sent to randomly selected emergency physician members of the Michigan College of Emergency Physicians. A pot experiment was conducted to analyze the characteristics of mercury (Hg) accumulation during the rice growth period in acidic purple paddy soil. The authors report a rare case of persistent fetal vasculature (PFV) associated with lens subluxation, axial myopia, and a thick bifid vascular stalk connecting the lens to an anomalous disc, along with medullated nerve fibers temporal to the disc. A thick fibrous membrane encasing the subluxated lens with multiple branch-like fibrovascular channels extending to the zonules was noted. A developed urethral plug was evaluated for the treatment of women with genuine urinary stress incontinence. Fifty-seven children with growth hormone deficiency and 15 healthy age-matched controls were studied by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Of the patients, 36 (63%) had isolated GH deficiency (IGHD) and 21 (37%) multiple pituitary hormone deficiency (MPHD). Lymphocytic hypophysitis (LH) is a rare inflammatory disorder of the pituitary gland that typically affects women in the peripartum period. We describe two male patients (ages 43 years and 36 years), who presented with headaches, visual disturbance and hypopituitarism.
