After initial stabilization of the patient, it is critical to assess a patient's alertness, attention, and cognition, and perform a brief psychiatric assessment to fully evaluate a patient with mental status changes. Left atrial (LA) enlargement is an early sign of hypertensive heart disease. Insulin resistance and obesity, integral components of metabolic syndrome, are closely associated with the development of hypertension. However, few echocardiographic studies have assessed the relations of insulin resistance and obesity to LA size in hypertensive patients. This study aimed to validate the scoring criteria for digital cervicography. The study enrolled 300 women submitted to a clinical protocol using cytological examination alone, digital cervicography without image magnification (Evaluation 1), and digital cervicography plus additional image magnification and considering the positive criteria (Evaluation 2).
