A quarter of cutaneous melanomas occur on the head and neck. Despite close collaboration between the dermatology, oncology, pathology, nuclear medicine and otorhinolaryngology departments, the survival of patients presenting with this type of melanomas remains inferior to that of other parts of the body. The morbidity of head and neck surgery significantly alters the quality of life. Therefore, specific multidisciplinary expertise is required. We present here the specificities of ENT management.

This case demonstrates a radiographic personal identification. A body was found but no positive results were obtained from the remains regarding the cause of death, the manner of death, or precise identification. At the autopsy, a characteristic radiographic deformity was found in the hip joints. After searching the registry of persons with congenital acetabular dysplasia and super-imposing the postmortem radiograph on the films of the registry, the identification was successful.

Recent studies have shown misdirected optic fibres in albinotic animals to the lateral geniculate body, to the visual cortex and to the superior colliculi. Since a similar anomaly was found anatomiclly and neurophysiologically in human albinos, an oculography was performed in 10 albinos. The results were identical to those found in the so called congenital nystagmus. It remains doubtful that the misdirection is an explanation for the nystagmus in albinotic humans.

Methylparaben (MeP) is a widely used preservative found in many consumer products that leads to extensive human exposure. Despite some health concerns, our understanding of MeP's effects on metabolic homeostasis remains limited. RESULTS: A 44-year-old male was followed for asymptomatic amelanotic iris nevus of the right eye that was noted to have a localized ciliary body mass with ring extension along the trabecular meshwork. Mice infected with Schistosoma mansoni were used to investigate the role of the submaxillary salivary gland and nerve growth factor (NGF) in temperature response.
