AIM: To investigate the long-term efficacy of postoperative interferon-alpha (IFN-alpha) adjuvant therapy in preventing recurrence in non-metastatic renal cell carcinoma treated with radical nephrectomy and to identify related prognostic markers.

IFI27 is an interferon alpha-inducible protein found to be upregulated in lesional and non-lesional psoriatic skin in a gene array study. OBJECTIVE: Alpha-interferon therapy may occasionally account for immune-mediated phenomena. This study was conducted in an attempt to investigate the incidence of the development of immune-mediated dermatological diseases during alpha-interferon therapy in patients with chronic viral hepatitis. We treated 22 patients with subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE) with intraventricular alpha-interferon (alpha-IFN) and oral inosiplex between 1986 and 1991.
