IMPORTANCE: West Nile virus (WNV) is the leading mosquito-borne infection in the US, causing West Nile fever or West Nile neuroinvasive disease (WNND) with substantial morbidity and mortality. Contemporary analyses are needed to identify at-risk populations and to target interventions.
