Three female adolescents are presented with delayed or incomplete secondary sexual development due to primary ovarian failure. All three patients had normal blood leukocyte and ovarian tissue karyotypes. The importance of performing a diagnostic laparoscopy with ovarian biopsy in the setting of chromosome competent ovarian failure (CCOF) is emphasized.

Endometriosis is a common gynecologic disorder that affects approximately 14% of all women and 30% to 50% of infertile women. Depot medroxyprogesterone acetate (MPA) is used in dogs to suppress estrus or prevent pregnancy. This report describes three cases in which post-mating administration of MPA resulted in failure of parturition and fetal death in hunting dogs. In all cases, MPA was administered within 1-7 days post-mating at a fixed dose of 150 mg. The dogs presented with signs of prolonged pregnancy and absence of labor.
